The U.S. Department of Commerce initiated antidumping duty (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) investigations concerning float glass products from China and Malaysia. This action was announced in late 2024, with the official initiation dated January 2, 2025.

Subsequently, in February 2026, the U.S. finalized its antidumping determination on Chinese float glass, imposing a definitive tariff rate of ‌204.29%‌.
